I held back this year until one person or denomination broke out of the pack of false teachers and came to the forefront of falsehood. Sadly, the church that Jesus built is now devolving into a worship of cash and self and that particular teaching is getting very popular. While pretending to worship God, they're actually worshiping Lakshmi. Where once Christianity was the home of the teaching of the solid gospel of Jesus crucified and resurrected, it now is sliding into a mishmash of feelings and emotions.
God wants you to be; happy, rich, healthy, wealthy, prosperous, successful...
God wants you to be; happy, rich, healthy, wealthy, prosperous, successful...
And that's the problem. The very best false teachers go right to the emotions. They know how to manipulate people’s feelings. They tell you warm stories that tug on your heart. They get you laughing and cheering and clapping and then they get you weeping on cue. They inject themselves into the bible, they ridicule those who stand firm for biblical truth and portray them as mean, angry, and unloving. They bring the world into their message and appeal to greed and the desire that we all have to be healthy by telling us of the Green God of clean water, social justice, and a world free of white privilege. By preying on your feelings, they draw you into their false message.
This year has been headspinning, The United Church of Canada decided that an atheist preaching self help messages was just ducky and can keep her job as a PASTOR, the NAR is slow rolling their own bible, Andy Stanley has decided that the Old Testament is Old News (actually he said “intellectually ruinous and morally debilitating.”), and Pope Francis... I get vapors just thinking about Pope Francis and his continuing efforts to protect his mob of homosexual child rapists. But no matter how bad Mr. Pope wanted the fabled Golden Goat he didn't "win" again. but the nominating committee awarded him second place (I hope he likes the color)
So onward with the presentation of the ignominious Golden Goat award; John Shore grabbed the very first Golden Goat in 2013, followed by Steven McSwain in 2014, Mark Sandlin hoisted a cold one in one hand and the Golden Goat in the other in 2015, in 2016 it was God's own NFL bookie, Rick Joyner that grabbed the Goat, and in 2017 the squiggly squid herself, Jennifer LeClare was the Goatrix. The nominating committee still wants to nominate Gretta Vosper for this prize but in Paul's letter, 1 Corinthians 5:12, he tells us that God instructs us not to judge those outside the church. Yes, Gretta is a devout atheist and that puts you as far outside of the church as you can get without being drown in hell's fires even though she is still a PASTOR in the West Hill United Church, Scarborough, Ontario. The United Church of Canada decided not to remove this wolf from the remainder of their flock, because: feelings.
When this name first appeared before the nominating committee it was like the clouds parted. A sound like a thousand tortured souls shrieking in torment filled the room, then we realized that my granddaughter had accidentally tuned to a television channel that featured the music of the man who immediately became this year's nominee. This year's winner has been hard at work for many years at his craft and has achieved what we call the "Second Peter Principal" to earn this award
18 For speaking out arrogant words of vanity they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error, 19 promising them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by what a man is overcome, by this he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and are overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. 21 For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment handed on to them. (2 Peter 2:18-21)
Attention To Orders (Romans 16:17-18)
For making up his own gospel with creativity above and beyond the call of duty, for causing divisiveness among the Bride of Christ for solely monetary reasons, for using God's name to belittle and berate Christians whose biblical vision of personal conduct conflicts from his person world centered view, for lowering the hymns of the saints from a form of worship to a modern money making machine, for hiding the base and most foul sins of a fellow minister from both the flock and from the law enforcement agencies, for basing his theology on the number of albums his music sells, we hereby announce that the False Teacher of the Year 2018 is Brian Houston, owner and CEO of the global, utterly charismatic, NAR tainted, slightly Christian flavored, Hillsong 'Church',
This years winner will shock no one, he worked hard and long to globally move people further away from a positive understanding of the grace of God, zombies followers receiving their instructions theology from his syncopated music. He avoided the police and the Gospel in his money grabbing "Music" empire. He is none other than Brian Houston and his Church is Hillsong. I first became aware of Houston when I saw one of his Hillsong pastors on instagram a few years ago. He is Diego Simila AKA The Naked Cowboy although not the real New York city Naked Cowboy. Brian Houston actually created a faux male stripper for his female zombies followers to droll over follow. Here is "Pastor" Simila at a "Christian" women's conference.
Brian teaches the false premise that Jesus "only ever spoke harshly to the religious" and takes joy in insulting and verbally slapping down Christians who know the Gospel, who try to follow a godly life. As one observer put it "[those at Hillsong] often automatically liken anyone that adheres to the Word of God to the Pharisees, and that’s a false comparison since the Pharisees did not in fact adhere to the Word of God. Actually, Hillsong themselves would be more like the Pharisees–outwardly religious, but inwardly, full of hypocrisy and iniquity." (source)
The draw of Hillsong's philosophy lies in it's ambiguity. According to Grace To You Hillsong has done a better job than anyone else in filling the musical void that many modern churches have experienced. Their songs are catchy, their musicians are skilled, and their songwriters know how to sound "Christian enough" to fool the theologically inexperienced. In many instances, Hillsong lyrics are so vague they could be embraced by any religion; Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, Islam, Satanism, Judaism, Vague Dieism, Judyism, Frizzbeeterianism... Their lyrics are so ambiguous they could be written by a love sick high school freshman. One example is the fluid and indistinct message in their tune "Wake":
At break of day, in hope we rise
We speak Your Name, we lift our eyes
Tune our hearts into Your beat
Where we walk, there You'll be
With fire in our eyes, our lives a-light
Your love untamed, it's blazing out
The streets will glow forever bright
Your glory's breaking through the night
You will never fade away,
Your love is here to stay
By my side, in my life, shining through me everyday
You wake within me, wake within me
You're in my heart forever
The music of Brian Houston's Hillsong Church ranges from scripturally vague to doctrinal malpractice. Their song “What a Beautiful Name” includes the line "You didn’t want heaven without us" According to Grace to You It’s a nice sentiment, but it’s not remotely biblical. In fact, it’s doctrinal malpractice.
Nowhere does the Bible state that an unsatisfying solitude in heaven was God’s reason for redeeming people. Rather, the theme that resounds throughout Scripture is God’s desire to glorify Himself by redeeming sinners. Romans 3:21–26 explicitly describes Christ’s atonement as the display of God’s righteousness. Undoubtedly, the cross was also the demonstration of God’s great love for sinners (John 3:16), but that doesn’t mean He was lonely without us.
Furthermore, that unbiblical statement flows out of the man-centered worldview that permeates almost everything Hillsong does. Rather than seeing ourselves as the undeserving beneficiaries of God’s redemptive plan, we become the central characters in a story that’s meant to glorify God.
And this is Brian Houston - purveyor of a globe spanning church whose primary idol of worship is the worshipers themselves, especially those with itching ears. As a leader of a Christian church Houston should be winnowing out the meaningless, the deceptive, the doctrine failures from his music menu but instead Houston insists on winnowing out the Christians from his audience.
A quick glance through Houston's statement of beliefs shows (in soothing, gentle wording) his unbiblical beliefs. He believes "in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised [SIC] in water... Rule #1 of living a holy and fruitful life is spelled out in Romans 12:2 - Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind... (emphasis mine) Houston's near pornographic Christmas videos show that holy lives aren't attained by baptism or water, and since Brian is the final man responsible for the horny Christmas videos and the Naked Cowboy and the deficient music, they clearly didn't use enough water. Psst! Brian! The mind is transformed through the Holy Spirit... pass it on!
He believes that you need to be baptized to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, gives you spiritual gifts including tongues. No baptism = no Holy Spirit = no gifts. I couldn't find a bible reference for this, someone help me out here. Brian Houston should have a reference for this, after all he's had 3 whole(ish) years of an unnamed bible college which enabled him to lead a globe spanning church(?). I tried to identify the bible college but my research turned up blank and Brian Houston's biography oddly reads the exact same way on every website I've found. (Must be one of those baptism gifts) At least he has a Doctorate degree, which he got from... himself
Either way, Brian built Hillsong the old fashioned way: he inherited a church from dad just like Joel Osteen.
Speaking of Brian's dad, as a pastor Frank Houston was a homosexual pedophile rapist.
I'm not saying that Brian's father being a homosexual pedophile rapist affects Brian's ministry, unless Brian does something stupid like covering up his fathers crimes. But according to Brian Houston, it's not his dad's fault that he abused young boys, in fact Brian told one of the victims of his dad's perverse attention "you tempted my father"
"The recent census figures show that many Australians are understandably disenchanted by church child abuse scandals and the perceived irrelevance of formalised [SIC] religion." - Brian Houston in an article he wrote for news.au.comLet's ignore the bad theology, the skewed beliefs, the rape of children and the cover-ups, let's not go on about Hillsong embracing Roman Catholicism I find things like this the most disturbing. How does this video below glorify God?
Keep in mind that if you believe that events like this do not glorify God and instead is a worldly exposition not befitting of a church then as Brian has said:
“I think you are going to find [God] will deal with you.
Big shocks ahead when judgmental people face their saviour.
He only ever spoke harshly to the religious... Never to the sinner” - Brian Houston
One wonders why Brian Houston didn't bother to quote Jesus when he spoke harshly to not just religions but entire cities
21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had occurred in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will descend to Hades; for if the miracles had occurred in Sodom which occurred in you, it would have remained to this day. 24 Nevertheless I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.” (Matthew 11:21-24)
So for your false teaching, for reducing the hymns of the saints to meaningless grunts, for turning to worship of His holiness into a mockery that is only missing a stripper pole, for cursing Christians for doing what we are required to do (that whole exposing thing) and so much less, Brian Houston, we present to you the Golden Goat
award. We will pray for those that fall under your spell and pray for
their deliverance as you continue to lead your clueless goats on the
wide path to a destruction that you only believe is reserved for "the religious'. We pray that some
day you realize that the book you twist to your own financial richness so
casually truly is the word of God and come to truly know Him and repent
from your heretical ways.
Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. (James 3:1)
Excellent choice-- well done, lad!
ReplyDeleteI think Mr. Houston outdid even That Pope in leading the way to hell
