Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

I Know Whom I Have Believed

I was not raised in a protestant tradition, which grieves me in several way, one of which is that I've never had exposure to the wonderful hymns I'm now saturating myself with. It doesn't happen often but on occasion I can open the hymnal and say "Hey! I know this one!" except today, I got to say "Hey! I Love this one!"
