About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

America's Original Sin - Happy Republican Victory Day!

4 The serpent said to the woman, “You certainly will not die! 5 For God knows that on the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will become like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate (Genesis 3:4-6a)

Once upon a time, many European nations believed that owning slaves was legal. Family legend says that elements from my fathers family came to this country as impressed servants, white slaves who somehow got their freedom in the late 17th century. The Jamestown colony did have slaves in 1619, who were freed after a period of time of service, like my white ancestors. (This fact is ignored in the New York Times 1619 Fantasy that has been polluting this nation for the past few years)

Two hundred years after the settlement of the Jamestown colony, the British Empire outlawed slavery and were very active in looking down their noses at the upstart colony that broke free from the empire, us. The Prince of Preachers, Charles Spurgeon said this about slavery to a personal hero of mine, freed slave and a fervent Republican Fredric Douglas:

“I do from my inmost soul detest slavery . . . and although I commune at the Lord’s table with men of all creeds, yet with a slave-holder I have no fellowship of any sort or kind. Whenever one has called upon me, I have considered it my duty to express my detestation of his wickedness, and I would as soon think of receiving a murderer into my church . . . as a man stealer”  (Pike, The Life and Work of Charles Haddon Spurgeon, p. 331)

Spurgeon was detested in the Democrat controlled slave-state South. Here is what my new home state, the freedom loving Florida had to say about Charles Spurgeon back in 1860:

Spurgeon is a “beef-eating, puffed-up, vain, over-righteous pharisaical, English blab-mouth.” A Southern Opinion of the Rev. Mr. Spurgeon,” The New York Herald (March 1, 1860).

Because he spoke up for what was right, because he poked the tiger, Charles Spurgeon was attacked and vilified by the American Democrats, they lied about him, burned his books and threatened him with bodily harm. Charles Spurgeon was the Donald Trump of the 1800's with the added bonus of being an actual Man of God.  Even though he was not a political person and disdained politics in the pulpit, Spurgeon opposed socialism. He didn't believe in movements and protests and riots, he believed that the world would ultimately be changed, not by large scale systemic reforms, but by individual men and women coming to faith in Jesus Christ who would in turn begin to live lives in accord with God’s law.

The Democrats of 2021 would hold the same views of Spurgeon today as they did in 1860. He would be cancelled.

Finally in 1865, the Republican controlled federal forces destroyed the Democrat uprising and quelled the Democrat started civil war that cost this country the lives of 620,000 men, or 2% of the population. In today's numbers, that would be 6,000,000 men. In 1866, Congress passed the Civil Rights Act and the four Reconstruction Acts, which dissolved all governments in the former Democrat controlled Confederate states with the exception of Tennessee. When you look at the smoldering ruins of Portland, Seattle, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York, we could use a little of this right now.

The first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, signed the Emancipation Proclamation and America was changed forever. In 1866 African-American men began to take office, locally, in state government, and in the US Congress. In response the Democrat party formed the Klu Klux Klan, which spread the Democrat's hatred and racism through out the south and slowly into the north. Having changed its name to ANTIFA, the KKK is still the strong arm of the Democrat party.

Don't get it in your head that it was just blacks that these people hated, in 1891 the largest mass lynching in American history was perpetrated in New Orleans where 11 "Dageos", Italian-Americans were shot and mutilated in front of a crowd of thousands of cheering Louisianans, no doubt all Democrats. Columbus Day was started to appease Italian-Americans because of the acts of thoughtless southern Democrats. Kind of like (no, EXACTLY like) the newly minted holiday of Junteenth.

Even though slavery has been illegalized in half the world, it still exists in the other half. Guess what - there is no law against slavery in Canada. Don't think that the slavery that exists in the world is hidden and is strictly for sex slaves, slavery is insidious throughout Africa, Asia, and the middle east. A favorite ploy in the middle east is to advertise a well paying job, take the applicant's ID and Passport for some legal pretense, then refuse to pay the promised wage. The slaves are trapped, they can't leave the country, so to survive they perform the job they were "hired" to do, live in their employers provided quarters, generally a hovel where they are packed in like sardines, and eat the provided food. I have actually met and spoken with slaves in the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia.

We're bombing all the wrong people.

Slavery is one of the darkest blights on the history of this country, and it's not over. Hundreds, if not thousands of women, men, young boys and girls are held in slavery, sex slaves, and the ONLY US President to address this current blight was Donald Trump. Now you know why the Democrats forced him from office, he was eating into their most profitable stream of income.

The worst president in US history recently said that "Slavery is America's original sin," which we all know is not true. If it were, then thanks to the Republican Party, having eliminated slavery, we would be sin free and have been so for 156 years. If you want to apply what happened in America to the bible, then after Democrat Eve biting the forbidden fruit, Eve's Republican husband would have slapped the fruit out of her hand then turned to God and said "Hey, this one won't listen, got any more?"

No, slavery is not America's original sin, SIN is America's original sin, same as everyone else. Our primary sin if anything is PRIDE and self serving, arrogant. wild-fire hyperbole. God tells us over and over that the sin he HATES is PRIDE

Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Be assured, he will not go unpunished. (Proverbs 16:5)

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride, arrogance, the evil way, And the perverted mouth, I hate. (Proverbs 8:13)

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these. (2Timothy 2 1-5)

It's not wrong to celebrate the emancipation of slavery, but the Emancipation Proclamation was signed January 1, 1963, not June 19th 1865. What happened on June 19th 1865 was the Civil war ended on April 9th 1865, the federal troops led by Republicans defeated the Democrat slave holders and their rebel army. The word of freedom finally reached Texas on June 19th 1865, one of the last place to be notified of the Republican victory.

Happy Republican Victory Day!
