About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

Pray for Hillary

Matthew 5:44
When you are saved, when you have prayed to Christ and told him that you are his servant, that He is your master, and you put your faith and entire life in Him, wonderful things happen in your life. Hebrews 6:9-12 tells us that some of the natural products of salvation are; Fruit of the Spirit, Sanctification, Unselfishness, Evangelical enthusiasm, and Benevolence.

I remember when Jesus adopted me as His brother, the change was nearly mind numbing. I remember thinking then that WWJD setting unattainable goals as Jesus is the Son of God and perfect in every way, that WWPD was more appropriate as Paul is one of us; a sinner lost in his own sins whose life changed in a startling flash and set an example for us to follow. He left us a legacy of instructions on how to follow Jesus and show our love for Him and our fellow man. Paul gave us so much, expounding on the words of Jesus because unlike us, Paul was taught by the Lord Himself, although we have His spirit to help.

I personally thought that after her humiliating defeat maybe Hillary Clinton had a moment like mine. She had it in the bag;  the media fawned over the only Republican hopeful that couldn't mop the floor with her until he became the Republican candidate, the public didn't care about the foul underhanded tricks her team used to destroy Bernie Sanders, and the director of the FBI gave her a preemptive pass on her felonious handling of very highly classified documents. Her world shattered around her on election night, and months later when she mentioned going into preaching I actually thought she may have turned to her savior and pledged herself to His teaching and His commandments.

As we now know, life played out differently for Hillary Clinton, she's been semi-quiet for months and at one point she said that she was interested in going in to the ministry. I had hoped that she truly did find Jesus and put her legacy of embarrassing lies behind her. This week the quiet has been shattered by her public accusations that she was defeated by a “deplorable reality TV star” and that James Comey, Russia, Wikileaks, Facebook, fake news, voter ID laws, sexism, and misogyny are the reasons why she lost.

This past Saturday evening Mrs Clinton was at a Manhattan church and was scheduled to discuss a new book written by her "spiritual advisor" Rev. Dr. William S. Shillady. Shillady has been appointed by New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio as a member of the Mayor’s Faith Leaders Advisory Council for the City of New York. Shillady also co-officiated with Rabbi James Ponet at the Chelsea Clinton-Marc Mesvinsky wedding in July of 2010.  He led the memorial service for Dorothy Rodham, the mother of Hillary Rodham Clinton. He maintains a pastoral relationship with the Clinton family.

The book in question, Strong for a Moment Like This: The Daily Devotions of Hillary Rodham Clinton, is based on devotions that Dr. Shillady sent to Mrs. Clinton throughout the presidential campaign. The book includes 365 of the more than 600 devotions written for Secretary Clinton, along with personal notes, portions of her speeches, and headlines that provide context for that day’s devotion. Unfortunately there's only one copy I can find available, the publisher had to pull them all off the shelf and the copies destroyed because the good Doctor Shillady had plagiarized a good amount of the content. One can only speculate on the spiritual advice Mr. and Mrs. Clinton were receiving.

But even with no book to talk about Mrs. Clinton went to that church and instead of Dr, Shillady, Mrs Clinton was joined by Reverend Ginger Gaines-Cirelli a Methodist pastix, graduate of Yale Divinity School, contributing editor to The CEB Women's Bible (I didn't realize bibles had a sex), who serves congregations as a pastix and Social Justice Warrior in Washington DC and uptown Manhattan. During her 35 minute discussion about how wonderful her faith is with statements like this
“I knew there were people who were angry and people who had resentments. I understood that and could see that. But I couldn’t believe – and I’m just not wired to think – that the best way for a leader to bring people together and solve problems is to stoke that anger and to feed that resentment,”
When asked what "people of faith" should do, she pointed to the Gaines-Cirelli strategy of “sacred resistance” which is a church-based campaign designed to counter the President of the United States of America and she then schlepped her new fund raising scheme Onward Together which is structured around "sacred resistance". She called on the cheering crowd to “resist, insist, persist, and enlist.”

Unfortunately there are far too many Christians out there who know so little about their doctrine that they have no idea how wrong this could possibly be. Romans 13 tells us clearly that it is wrong and for the Christian this is a sin
1 Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. 3 For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; 4 for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil. 5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of wrath, but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for rulers are servants of God, devoting themselves to this very thing. 7 Render to all what is due them: tax to whom tax is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor. (Romans 13:1-7)
It doesn't get more clear than that; every person is to be in subjection to governing authorities, to resist authority is to oppose the ordinance of God and those that oppose God will receive condemnation. It's the reason I do not put anything political in my blog. Being a nation of laws our constitution is our true leader and the election cycle gives us the opportunity to give our input, but in the end it is truly God who establishes our leadership.

This is almost clearly a product of the happy clappy doctrine of self love and financial wellness focusing on how much God wants you to be the best you that you can be instead of the actual word of God. By fermenting public anger with manufactured outrage and faux social warfare Hillary Clinton is drawing in Christians into her sin, inciting  people to raise up against a duly elected president. If there were an actual legal reason to rise up against this president, such as committing sexual harassment in the work place or suborning perjury, or even a serial rapist, there are constitutional methods to handle this. But to simply incite an insurrection base solely on sour grapes in an open insurrection against God.

Pray for Hillary and her followers that the realize the depths of their sin before it is too late.
