About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

The Greatest Prophesies That Ever Came To Pass

Sometimes I wonder why God made us, we've done little for Him other than cause Him pain and despair. How long was Adam in the garden with Him before being evicted for violating the one rule God laid down?

But create us He did, and when we fell He had a plan of salvation that would give us redemption and save us from ourselves and our sins. One of the best parts of this plan is that over the years God would give us more information in the way of prophesy to let us know what was coming.

In Genesis 3:15 God said to Satan:
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
God is telling Satan that our Redeemer is not going to be a supernatural being like an angel but born of a human woman, a descendant of Eve, and that while Satan may hurt his heel and cause him to limp, our Savior is going to strike a crushing blow to our enemy.

Later in Micah 5:2 God tells us through His prophet:
But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”
Bethlehem (Ephrathah differentiates it from a different Bethlehem in Gallalee) is the home of two of God's champions and rulers: David and Jesus, and this prophesy came long after David's reign. The word Bethlehem translates to "House of Bread" in reference to the wheat fields in the area. Interesting that the home of Jesus is the "House of Bread" and Jesus is the Bread of Life

In Isaiah 7:14 God let us know
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Luke 1:26-28 tells us that indeed Mary was an unmarried virgin betrothed to Joseph. Rather than a savior born in a palace to a queen and king, the savior of the typical sinner was born out of wedlock, a sin of the era but not uncommon. Jesus was raised knowing the pain and shame of this sin and thereby knowing our pain of our sins.

Also in Isaiah God tells us of our Messiah

6 For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7 There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)
The child born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) will rule from David's Throne (Luke 1-31-33) all the nations of the world with a iron rod (Psalm 2:9 Revelation 2:27)  He will be called Wonderful Counselor as He rules the world with His divine wisdom, and Mighty God as his subjects recognize his awesome, divine might. Like David, the Messiah will be a father to his people, caring for them (Isaiah 40:11) and disciplining them (Psalms 3:12) earning the title Eternal Father. He shall rule the nations and establish his peace (Isaiah 2:4) as the Prince of Peace.
