About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

False Prophet Dead - She didn't see it coming

Sylvia Brown, a self proclaimed celebrity psychic with a self proclaimed accuracy rate of 80% - 90% died at the age of 77, only 11 years short of her public prophesy of 88. She didn't see it coming. Her accuracy was much lower than her claim of 80% - 90%, in 1992 she was indicted on grand larceny charges - she didn't see that coming either. There's a lot that she didn't see coming until it reached a point where other false prophets were upset that she was giving false prophecy a bad name. Competing false prophet Craig Weller said "Some of the people in the intellectual community who lean toward the psychic side of things did not think much of her," In case you missed it, the punchline was "people in the intellectual community who lean toward the psychic side of things"

It would be so much easier for us if all of the false prophets were like Sylvia Brown and Craig Weller - outside of the church where they could be easily identified and, with the grace of God, saved if possible. Unfortunately it's not that clean and easy. I don't know the reasoning God used, maybe He did it to shake the goats loose from His true church, maybe He did it to bring us back to His word, but what ever His reasoning, many many many false prophets are claiming to be Christian leaders and the only prophesy I will ever make is that it's going to get worse.

Of course I can make that prophesy because Jesus made it first, it is there in God's word;
3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” 4 And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many... 10 At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. (Matthew 24:3-5, 10-11)
The question on many people's minds is "What is God saying for 2014?" There's a multitude of answers, mine is short: "It's in the bible. Start reading."

The New Apostolic Reformation has other ideas (maybe because reading is hard) and has their own way of divining what's going to happen in the future. It's difficult for the bible believing Christian to believe that these ideas are inspired by God, because rather than depending on God's word and the prophesies in the bible, the NAR insists on making up their own prophesies. NAR "prophet" Kim Clement came up with some incredible ones back on January 12, 2004. He prophesied that in 35 days Osama Bin Laden would be captured. Unfortunately 35 days later Al Queda celebrated Osama Bin Laden NOT being captured by blowing up the train station in Madrid killing 200 people.

Most NAR prophesy is worded so vaguely that the outcome can be nearly anything, a single prophesy can be interpreted by the NAR to point to anything from nuclear war to a Buffalo Bills Superbowl victory. Back in 2009 NAR Prophetrix Cindy Jacobs revealed a what she claims God told her about the Philippeans:
“I want you to pray. The next two years, the Lord is showing me, are going to be extremely significant for the Philippines. Either you’re going to go into greatness, it’s going to be that transformed nation, or, I see that there’s going to be some troubled times.”
Actually not much happened for the next 2 years, but 4 years later there was a storm that ravaged the islands and of course Cindy Jacob's minions are claiming prophetic victory. Let's be real, predicting an upheaval of any sort in the Philippians is equivalent to predicting a cold spell in Bismark North Dakota. It's going to happen eventually. I could sit here and predict orange juice in Florida but I'm not going to waste anyone's time by saying that God revealed it to me.

Off the wall inaccurate prophesy from our charismatic friends is not rare. Rick Joyner, together with Bob Jones, predicted in 1997 that Los Angeles would be destroyed in nine months by earthquakes and terrorist attacks. The NAR's prophesy failure rate is nearly as impressive as Sylvia Brown's regardless of the fact that as self appointed prophets of God they have impossible standards to live up to. Here's what God says differentiates His prophets from Satan's minions:

100% accuracy:
When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:22)
 100% accuracy:
The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, then that prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent. (Jeremiah 28:9)
100% compliance with the bible
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn. (Isaiah 8:20)
A Prophet does not interpret his prophesy, he gives it as God revealed it to him
But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation (2 Peter 1:20)
A Prophet is known by his/her fruit
15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17 So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:15-20)

The bible goes on at several other points about prophets, but these facts remain: a true prophet is 100% accurate, a true prophet speaks and acts in accordance with scripture, a true prophet is merely a relay for the word of God, and a true prophet is known by his fruit. However in NAR literature NAR prophets can be inaccurate as they like. This heresy is upheld by Bill Hamon, in his book Prophets and Personal Prophecy.

So dig this - the NAR is throwing an annual goat fleecing fund raiser called "What is God Saying for 2014?" in their breathless advertizementpalooza they claim
This year’s guest speakers are Dutch Sheets, James Goll, Jane Hamon, Denny Cline, and Steve Shultz. Each year, these speakers provide the very meaning of what is God REALLY doing and saying for this year; the upcoming year of 2014! The accuracy level by these prophetic voices has always been very high on what God is about to do, and it gets more accurate each year as the “prophetic ear” of the Church grows in accuracy.
Someone please tell me where the "prophetic ear" is located in the bible and where "When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken." includes the words "gets more accurate each year"
