Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

Cling To The Father And His Holy Name

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. (Luke 1:31)
She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins. (Matthew 1:21)

What is in a name? A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, right? I wish I knew how many times I've read Luke 1:31 and Matthew 1:21 and just blipped on by with never a thought, except possibly "Didn't Isaiah say His name would be Manuel or Manual or something like that?" The thing is that Jesus has a lot of names, or more correctly Jesus is called a LOT of things through out the Bible. However his name, Jesus, is obviously important as it's told to both Mary in Luke and Joseph in Matthew that they shall name the baby Jesus. The name Jesus is obviously important as there's just a ton of other, more awesome sounding, names used in the bible:

the Beginning and the End
the Alpha and the Omega
the Ancient of Days
King of Kings
Lord of Lords
the Anointed One
the Messiah
Wonderful Counselor
Mighty God
Everlasting Father
Prince of Peace
the Nazarene
the Good Shepherd,
the Lamb
the Logos
the Light of Life
the Word of Life
the Bread of Life
the Way
the Truth
the Life....
And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21)
Which name? Can we call on any name or one particular one? There's so many! Which one do we chose when we need to call on the Lord? What is His real name? Well, just to save a lot of time and typing the correct answer is "Jesus"... no wait... well...

To be 100% totally accurate, Jesus isn't his name, that's just what we call him. The Angel didn't tell Joseph and Mary to name their baby Jesus, the Angel said to name Him "Yeshua" the English spelling of Yeshua is Joshua, and when the early manuscripts were written in Greek Yeshua became Iēsous. This, when translated into English became Jesus. Don't get hung up on the whole Yeshua, vs Joshua vs Iēsous vs Jesus thing, because while it's a table in English, it's a mesa in Spanish, a tabelle in German, a tablo in Turkish, a Taulukko in Finnish, and a テーブル  in Japanese, it's still a table, it's nature hasn't changed.

In the same way Yashua = Joshua = Iēsous = Jesus, His nature hasn't changed. And when Yashua or Joshua or Iēsous or Jesus is translated into English they all mean the same thing: "Jehovah is Salvation"

When we call on the name of the Lord we are calling on our very salvation - and now Acts 2:21 makes a whole lot more sense, and is a WHOLE lot more wonderful to me than ever before.
