About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

Georgia Governor Deal has vetoed the Pastor Protection Act which provided protections for pastors and non-profit faith-based organizations. He said that there is no need for such legislation, and that the protections provided under the First Amendment are sufficient. We know how much the Gaystapo likes the First Amendment when it protects them, but when it comes to criticism of their abhorrent actions - not so much.

Oh No! US Military families have been ordered out of southern Turkey. I only put this in here because I loved Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey. The best description for an Adana kebab from Mudjat's in "downtown" Incirlik was a slice of heaven wrapped in flatbread.

Canadian Roman Catholic priest gambles away a half million dollars slated refugee sponsorship. His bishop thinks the priest has a gambling problem. Dude! Ya think?

Religion of Peace Update #1 - The Muslims of ISIS are refusing to allow Christians in the city of Raqqa to leave because the Muslim cowards are going to use our brothers and sisters as cannon fodder and human shields.

Religion of Peace Update #2 - Thomas Uzhunnalil, a Catholic priest who was kidnapped by the Islamic State Muslims and believed to have been crucified on Good Friday may still be alive. He was taken prisoner when the ISIS Muslims attacked a nursing home in Yemen and killed four nuns

Religion of Peace Update #3 - A secretive Islamic movement is trying to infiltrate the U.S. military by establishing and operating publicly-funded charter schools targeted toward children of American service personnel. This isn't some conspiracy theory, this is really happening folks

Religion of Peace Update #4 - Islam is at war against you, dear Christian. It doesn't matter if you don't believe it or not, they believe it, and they're coming for us.

Morgan Freeman will host of the six-part television series “The Story of God,” premiering at 9 p.m. Eastern on Sunday (April 3) on the National Geographic Channel. Let's see if NatGeo could possibly be more heretical and blasphemous than the History Channel's Bible Rules.

Theology students at Oxford will no longer be required to study Christianity, they can now study things like “feminist approaches to religion and theology” and  "Buddhism in space and time"

There's probably a hundred more reasons, but here's three good reasons why Christianity doesn't need to be "Cool"

I am not sure this is right. I see the need, and the need is growing, but is it Right?

  1. Liberals and censorship -- hypocrisy over and over again.

Islam continues to prove it is a religion of peace. :oD. But remember, "climate change" is the most important security issue in the US.

    1. I really think that the 'One World Religion' is going to end up being Earth Worship. These people are starting to do some very strange things in the name of "Climate Change" like demanding our allegiance to their cause

  2. Hi Doug,

Sola Camouflage gets it exactly right. Once people hear "evangelical" or "reformed" (for the reformed) or "Confessional" (for the Lutherans) or whatever Shibboleth is being used, all discernment goes out the window.

    Quote:
Sola Scriptura is one of the terms that came out of the Reformation and is Latin for “only Scripture”. By using the term, we mean that our faith and doctrine is based on Scripture alone and not on the traditions of men, extra-biblical documents, “revelation”, human philosophies or anything else outside of the 66 books of the Bible.

    So far so good. But...

But writers and speakers are increasingly using the term to camouflage the extra-Biblical sources of their ideas. One writer uses terms like “we base our doctrine only on the Scriptures” dozens of times throughout his book. All the while he blatantly builds his ideas on everything but the Bible. In fact, sometimes he would sandwich his extra-biblical teaching between two such statements! It is so bad that while reading the book I came to discover that those words were actually a siren to draw attention to those parts of the book where he most grievously departed from Scripture and where one had to be especially careful.

The sad thing is that pastors and mature believers whom I would normally regard as very discerning, and who have also read the book, see no problem with it. So the technique clearly works so well that even the most observant and experienced are fooled by it.
