Random Bits

"I walk through this sinful world as a pilgrim in a foreign country" - CH Spurgeon
A peaceful transition of power happened again, it's one of the things that those of us who served this country in the Armed Forces hold dearest. Yeah, we care who wins and looses, but in the end the transition of power happening without exchange of gunfire and militias surrounding the White House is what we hold dear. And this transition was again peaceful... well mostly peaceful. It's quite obvious that those who have rejected God as their true ruler have also rejected the time honored skills of dignity in defeat and conducting polite conversation. I occasionally view the conversation on the "Christian" Left group on Facebook and lately have discovered that for many of them their God did not create the universe, their God lost the election. I have been known to post Romans 13:1-7 as a reminder of who is really in charge, but that is either ignored or falls on deaf ears.

This Random Bits update is late because I was busy working and other things (Hey! That Xbox isn't' going to play itself!) but also because of following coverage of the March For Life

Speaking of the March For Life, after the bloodbath the Democrats received at the state level a tsunami of  pro life legislation is flooding state chambers

The Free Burma Rangers are bringing food, medical aid and the love of Jesus to some of the worst places on earth

Pray for Huang Yan, a Christian woman in China who has assisted a number of Christians targeted by the Chinese government. She has suffered two miscarriages due to the beatings she has received from the government. Now she has ovarian cancer and the government has refused her medical treatment.

I mentioned that Islamic prayers denying the divinity of Christ were sang in a Scottish Cathedral to "celebrate" the Epiphany. The Queens Chaplain called it blasphemy (and rightly so) and he lost his job over it.

Religion of Peace Update #1 - Daesh targets a Baptist church in Texas for attack

Religion of Peace Update #2 - Some Muslims were having a peaceful rally in Pakistan when they were attacked by other Muslims for not being violent enough? I guess the problem is that the violent protesters were upset that the police didn't arrest people that weren't at the peaceful rally?

Religion of Peace Update #3 - 115 muslims were acquitted for burning 150 homes of Christians for alleged blasphemy of the "Prophet"

Religion of Peace Update #4 - Nation of Islam leader Louis "Calypso Louie" Farrakhan compares mass murderer Fidel Castro to Jesus Christ

Religion of Selfish Update - An atheist group is suing a West Virginia school district for a optional bible class that has been offered since 1939

I work in the industry and I had no idea this actually exists until I caught my wife watching it.

The NAR is at it again. Well-known adult pastors and teachers – grownups who should know better – are promoting this nonsense

Thank you Glenn - sometimes I really need to read this kind of encouragement

Steve Furtick has an eye I problem. He knows just enough bible-babble to make his self worship sound almost palatable. But apply a little discernment and one begins to wonder how beautiful his message would be if he replaced the hundreds of "I"s and "me"s with "Jesus"

Paganism gone interstellar: The European Space Agency is planning to build a Temple on the moon. The idea is to give the first lunar settlers 'a place of contemplation'.

David's Sling - it works

Man visiting church website looking forward to 2009 church picnic. It's got to be true, I saw it on the internet

  1. The Queen's Chaplain spoke truth. The LEFT hates truth, so he had to be gotten rid of.
Farrakhan is a foolish man, as well as a supporter of terrorism. He hates the USA and yet continues to benefit from the freedoms we allow him to do that for which he'd be killed in an Islamic country.

You keep on demonstrating the real face of Islam -- perhaps the LEFTISTS will finally open their eyes.

Your wife was watching Hillsong?!?!? Did her eyes glaze over under the hypnotic performances? Did you have to deprogram her?

I'm late getting my "random" post out also, and it looks like we'll be covering some of the same stuff!

    1. I could probably do a series of posts about people like Calypso Louie and "Reverend" Al Sharpton but I won't - my blood pressure is 119/75 and I intend to keep it that way.

I know several people who admit to watching the Hillsong channel and think there's nothing wrong with their teaching, the majority of them are women is this 2 Timothy 3:6 in action?
