"I walk through this sinful world as a
pilgrim in a foreign country" - CH Spurgeon
It's been quite a busy week here at Random Bits HQ, I even missed my main mid-week respite from this sin weary world, men's bible study, as I fell asleep right after getting home from work that evening. Besides work, most of my week has been spent avoiding political discussion. I will break this fast on Monday when I explain here in this blog why I can't vote for the one candidate who agrees with my views on the issues. To me this entire election cycle was summed up on "Super" Tuesday with the local results: the good news is that Colorado rejected Hillary Clinton, the bad news is that they went with Bernie Sanders.

On the upside my health is starting to improve a bit due to warmer weather and long walks with Swamp Thing: The Spaniel Of Doom. We like to go down to the rehab center where Swamp Thing's hugs bring smiles to the shut-ins there. our next visit is only a couple of hours away! (yay Friday!) And another thing to look forward to is a welcome brunch this Sunday for a group of believers who finished new members class at our First Congregational Church of the Bereans. The cool thing about our church is that we are most definitely not seeker sensitive. Visitors will get a warm welcome, a hearty handshake, and maybe even a hug, but they will not get secular rock music masquerading as "worship music", a watered down sermon, or a Service Lite to entice them to come back. They will get the real thing; old school hymns that actually Worship God, and a hard core biblically based sermon centered on the love of God, the sin of man, and the redemption through Christ. Notes will be taken, bibles will be referenced, and tears will be shed. And if they didn't bring their own bible there's an NASB right there in the pew for them to borrow. So by the time a visitor decides to join we know that they are there for the worship, and they know there's no entertainment... at least during Worship Service. The board meetings can be quite entertaining at times.

Atheists are suing the governor of Texas because they were forced to remove their childish "juvenile parody" of the nativity from the state capitol.

In response Governor Greg Abbott pointed out that the display put up by the Wisconsin based group of narcissists atheists  was a "spiteful message" and "is intentionally designed to belittle and offend, which undermines rather than promotes any public purpose a display promoting the bill of rights might otherwise have had."

Here we go again, yet another homosexual pair attacking a Christian bakery. The homosexuals claim that they feel "dehumanized" after the bakery wouldn't bake a cake that celebrates their sin for them.

The USAF continues it's attacks on Christian values, this time their target is the Bible itself. They have removed the Bible from the "Missing Man Table". To a USAF Veteran the "Missing Man Table" is a powerful and moving tribute to those we have lost in armed conflict such as POW's and MIA, and the Bible on the table was a powerful reminder of the faith that sustained our POW's through their horrid captivity.

Religion of Peace Update #1 - The Muslim theocracy of Iran has executed the ENTIRE MALE POPULATION of a village for drug offenses.

Religion of Peace Update #2 - A Muslim woman decapitated a 4-year-old girl and carried the severed head while walking the streets of Moscow, shouting 'Allahu Akbar'. First she said "Allah made me do it" then she claims she did it in revenge for Russia's attacks in Syria, but she didn't explain how a 4-year-old girl carried out bombing raids in Syria.

Religion of Peace Update #3 - An 8 year old girl  captured by "Allah's finest" was sold eight times during the 10 months she was held hostage, and raped hundreds of times,  another girl set herself on fire to make herself less attractive to her Muslim captors. These are only two of the more than 1,400 horror stories German doctor Jan Ilhan Kizilhan has heard first-hand from Yazidi women and girls who escaped from their Muslim torturers

Religion of Peace Update #4 - GOOD NEWS for once! Pray for these soon to be highly persecuted brothers and sisters.

An unrepentant Episcopalian priestess aborted her illegitimate baby because she knew she could not complete Divinity School and pursue a career as a priestess with a baby. And she's cool with that. And worse, apparently so is the Episcopalian "church"

  1. That news of the priest aborting her baby while in seminary...that was so heinous in God's eyes and sad how low liberals can go.

  2. The two short news clips regarding Boy George found in the comments to this link "A thought provoking overview of the gaystapo's tyrannical crusade against Christianity and free speech." are disturbing to say the least. I thought about writing a blog post but got so upset about the whole thing I scrapped it. Nevertheless, hope people will find the comment and links and view them. It shows graphically where we may be heading.
