Is Dominionism What God Wants?

When warriors for the atheist faith sharpen their swords, their main targets are actually dominionists, not Christians. However being ignorant of the bible and Christians in general, atheists don't know the difference between dominionists and Christians.

Atheist acolytes such as Mikey Weinstein and his cohorts are really up in arms about dominionists, claiming that dominionists want to take over the world. And the horrible thing is that they are right. Dominionists claim to be Christian, they claim to worship God, they claim to love Jesus, but in reality they fall short of all three claims.

So lets's play a quick round of Final Jeopardy. The Final Jeopardy answer is: This verse in the bible says that followers of Jesus are required to take over the earth. Please word your response in the form of a question (Jeopardy theme for 30 seconds) Times up. The correct Jeopardy question is: What is none?

That's right, no verse in the bible even remotely hints at Christians taking over the world. So who in their right mind would would even consider claiming to be a Christian and insisting that they are going to take over the world? The correct answer should be "no one"... but then there's the New Apostolic Reformation - the NAR.

The NAR is special. They claim to have the gift of prophesy which they use to (incorrectly) pick sporting events. They claim to be true Apostles because... because... well, because they say they are. C. Peter Wagner, the head of the NAR seriously and truly wants to take over the world:
"Once we have the apostles in place, we will then bring the intercessors and the prophets into the inner circle, and we will end up with the spiritual core we need to move ahead for retaking the dominion that is rightfully ours." — C. Peter Wagner
In other words the NAR's Purpose is to restore the "office" of Apostles and prophets in advance to the Kingdom of God.  According to Albert James Dager:
"dominion theology is predicated upon three basic beliefs: 1) Satan usurped man's dominion over the earth through the temptation of Adam and Eve; 2) The Church is God's instrument to take dominion back from Satan; 3) Jesus cannot or will not return until the Church has taken dominion by gaining control of the earth's governmental and social institutions. (Online source)
No wonder the atheists are completely up in arms, the dominionists really do want to take over the world. The atheists are upset because the world is their realm, and their master (whether they believe they follow him or not) is in charge of this world.
3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God would not dawn upon them. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 )
But Christians should be up in arms too - "Jesus cannot or will not return until the Church has taken dominion by gaining control of the earth's governmental and social institutions"?  Wait, what? Just who is it that the NAR is worshiping? Our God created everything out of absolutely nothing. He breathed life into dust from the ground and made man. Our God is all powerful, all knowing, all creating, all seeing, and is powerful enough to return to the planet He created, to the people He died for even if the political atmosphere isn't absolutely right. The God the NAR worships falls far short of that last count.

They call their god the Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Creator of All, Holiest of Holies, yet he needs mere mortals to pave the way for him otherwise he's stuck waiting until a bunch of self styled apostles and herd of self appointed prophets gets themselves elected dog catcher. Seriously.

Where in the bible does it say that the right people have to be in the right place at the right time before Jesus can return? Someone tell me, what verse in Revelation 16 does the Lord say "Hold on to those bowls of My wrath boys, we need to wait and see how the election turns out"? Who could possibly believe this nonsense that the NAR is spewing?

This is who
If you think I'm worked up, you're absolutely right. The dogma of the NAR come straight from the pit of hell. You don't need to go looking for the false prophets and false teachers that Jesus warned us about, they're right here in the NAR. And I feel safe in saying this because they feel safe in unapologetically spewing prophesy and teachings that they claim comes from their god, yet it contradict what our God has set out in Scripture. The One True God does not send prophesy that contradicts with His word as recorded in the bible.

The god of the NAR has told them to take over the world, but what does the one true God say about Christians taking over the world?
Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. (Hebrews 13:17)
For rebellion is as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king. (1 Samuel 15:23)
1 Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves. (Romans 13:1-2)
Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed (Titus 3:1)
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, 14 or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. 15 For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men. (1 Peter 2:13-15)
Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable. (1 Peter 2:18)
1 All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against. 2 Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles. 3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. (1 Timothy 6:1-5)
No, not only are we to NOT take over the world, we are to serve with the joy of Christ those who do rule the world, honoring them so that Christianity will not be disparaged by unbelievers... this is exactly what is happening with the NAR. Their selfish, narcissistic, rebellion against God's word is causing the world to disparage us.

And there's so much more down this rabbit hole...
