Oops, I forgot Him again!

Giddy with the excitement of being the first Bishop of Rome to address a joint meeting of congress. Mr. Pope spoke on a good number of things, one of which was immigration.

When considering his stances on immigration, keep in mind that Mr. Pope is from a country that gladly received 5,000 Nazi war criminals, and now lives in a country that only allows immigration by royal appointment only, and that appointment can only come from the King of the Vatican, who turns out to be Mr. Pope himself. (Which explains why there's only 850 citizens of King Pope's country, and that King Pope's country has the highest GDP of any country on earth) And, surprise of surprises, there's no record of King Pope's country, the Vatican, accepting a single solitary muslim refugee. Then again, when did any pope ever chose to lead by example?

Again he spoke at length of social justice, climate change, the environment, abolishing the death penalty, abortion, limiting technology, political dialoging, weapons sales, families, children, and what he called the "harnessing of the spirit of enterprise" which is his way of saying socialism. He spoke of the US Civil War, the First World War, the Second World War, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, and Moses. But the loudest thing I heard is what he didn't say

Mr. Pope spoke quite eloquently of the world and how much he loved the things in the world, which is saddening:
15 Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17)
As the leader of the largest religion in the world Mr. Pope must represent Christ to us. As John MacArthur said "It's so true that when the church courts the world it dies" It's probably amusing to see John MacArthur and Mr. Pope mentioned in the same paragraph but Dr. MacArthur hit the nail on the head, and that's what Mr. Pope is doing. He's playing to the crowd, doing everything he can to soft pedal the Roman Catholic Catechism when it's not popular, ignoring the words of Christ Jesus at all times, and playing liberal politics to a liberal crowd.
26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for their fathers used to treat the false prophets in the same way. (Luke 6:26)
Mr. Pope had the change to become the greatest spokesman for Jesus Christ in the history of mankind. His audience was unparalleled as he spoke before a joint meeting of congress. Instead Mr. Pope chose ignore his responsibilities, ignore Christ's great commission, and instead decided to play politics

He only mentioned God when quoting someone else

He never mentioned Jesus.

He never spoke of the gospel.

He never spoke of sin, redemption, God's mercy, God's grace, or the salvation we receive through the blood of Christ Jesus.

How embarrassing it must be for Catholics to see their "religious leader" sacrifice Jesus on the altar of his own Political Aspirations. With malice of forethought he turned his back on God and embrased the world and the games of sinful mankind. Pity the poor Catholics, they no longer have a religious leader, they have a community organizer.

  1. Excellent commentary! The pope's actions explain why most Catholics vote Demokrat.
