Speaking with Dunamis

The shrieking hysteria over Phil Robertson's remarks continues unabated, but slowly the truth comes out. It now appears that A&E's shock over Phil's remarks is more contrived than concerned. While Phil was doing that interview an A&E representative was present during the interview and approved of his words. A&E had control over that interview but happily did nothing. Nor was there any surprise at A&E, as they knew full well of Phil's love of God and his distaste for sin long before they signed the Robertson's to a contract

As the backlash against A&E and GLAAD, The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against honest Discussion Discrimination, and their war against Christianity and their selective outrage grows across the country, the forces aligned against God realized that they need more ammo so guess what - they came up with even more contrived, imaginary charges against Phil Robertson.

Yes, the forces aligned against those that love God and hate sin have broken out the "big guns" in their eyes - they've now accused Phil Robertson of racism. Yes, a man who loves his black grandson is a racist, and if you didn't see this accusation coming you've been asleep since 2007. The charges of racism are even more laughable than the charges of homophobia (which is ignorant because Phil isn't afraid of any man, gay or straight). These accusations are so weak and contrived they do not merit comment other than to say is becoming more and more apparent that when you've realized you have lost the argument the best thing to do is accuse your opponent of racism.

So why is it that people like Kirk Cameron and Phil Robertson come under attack by GLAAD for remarks that are clearly anti-sin and not anti-homosexual while the Pope is picked as man of the year by the gay magazine The Advocate and people like Alec Baldwin and Piers Morgan get a pass for clearly (and in Baldwin's case violent) antigay remarks. Elisabeth at The End Time blog pointed out that the reason why the pope and Phil can both say that homosexuality is a sin but the pope will be praised by the gay community while Phil gets attacked by the exact same people is because when Phil speaks he's speaking with Dunamis - power. Power meaning "moral power and excellence of soul."  In particular the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Phil is speaking straight from the Bible, the words he used were inspired by the Holy Spirit. They are God's words, the life blood of the followers of Jesus and a death knell to the followers of Satan. The power of the Holy Spirit, the Dunamis, tore through the babble and the muffled din of modern society and shot straight into the heart of the Elect, and set off alarm bells in the ears of the forces that oppose us because they cannot understand God's word.

20 My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:20-22)

The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)
Don't be fooled brothers and sisters, this is much deeper than a disagreement between network executives and TV stars, this is part of the battle between God and Satan, which explains why Alec Baldwin, a godless man, can threaten a homosexual with severe bodily harm and the Gay "community" forgives him, while Phil Robertson tries to deliver the Gospel of Jesus and he's hounded like... well like Phil Robertson after one of those buck tooth ninja beavers he loves to hate.

I'm probably completely wrong but deep in my heart (which is probably completely wrong too) I feel that A&E started the show Duck Dynasty to make a lot of money and with the unspoken goal of showing the world how stupid Christianity is. Why do I feel this way? Because television networks do not cut the head off the goose that lays the golden egg. They protect that goose, they feed that goose and they play that goose for every egg it can produce. But as the public began to express their love for the Robertson's positive message of love for each other and Jesus, and not long after Phil won his battle with A&E to allow the name of Jesus to be spoken in prayer and not edited out by A&E censors, A&E swung the hatchet right after the end of the season. And now knowing that A&E had control over Phil's interview it's looking like a premeditated goose murder, how else would GLAAD have a prepared statement the moment that the magazine hit the news stands? Of course since GLADD's remarks were wildly inaccurate it's possible that GLAAD never actually read the interview but now that the NAACP is freaking out over remarks they knew about for years, it's now looking like a premeditated mob lynching.

The odd thing is that I saw this coming weeks ago because the attack against Phil Robertson started inside the church. As Pastor Lovejoy once mentioned, the Christian Church is the only army that kills it's own wounded soldiers. People like Todd Freil started the ball rolling, and out here in the frozen Colorado prairies even local pastors like the departed Pastor Brimstone have attacked Phil for preaching that you must be baptized to be saved. "Heresy!" they shrieked, their moral outrage a foreshadowing of GLADD's self righteous hysteria. And where would Phil get a silly idea like you have to be baptized to be saved???
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. (Mark 16:16)
Oh yeah, that.

  1. Well said, Doug. I think you're right about boardroom machinations playing chess with the Robertsons. I hope the viewers have a few moves of their own.
