About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

A Prayer For Today

Thank You, Father God, for this reminder of Your Sovereignty over all human affairs; that there is no authority that does not ultimately come from You; that even the hearts of the seemingly heartless leaders of lands are in Your hands.  In this era of evil that seems to be gripping the world, please give us steadfast and willing spirits to persevere in prayer.  Stir the hearts of our government leaders toward You; do whatever is necessary to bring them to their knees in repentance, shocked to their very core, revulsed by the revelation of their own complicity in labeling what is repulsive to You as approved by them.  Raise up godly leaders who will stand for morality as You have revealed it in Your Word, who will unashamedly confess You, Lord Jesus Christ, as their Lord and their Savior.

Independence Day Blessings

Early morning on July 4th I'm sitting on the patio enjoying coffee and watching the dragon flies and butterflies drift in the warm morning sunlight when suddenly the church bells from far off started the beautiful patriotic hymn "My Country 'tis Of Thee". I'm suddenly put in mind of softer, sweeter days; small town parades, picknics in the park, a brass band on the gazebo, and people who love God as well as their freedom - have a blessed and glorious Independence Day

Random Bits

"I walk through this sinful world as a
pilgrim in a foreign country" - CH Spurgeon
Hecklers interrupt Joel Osteen's self worship service - to be honest considering Joel's heretical track record I kind of figured Joel would be protected from this by forces that want to drive a wedge between God and man

Homosexual, transgender activists blaspheme Jesus Christ at Brazilian perversion pride parade. If you have any doubts that Satan is behind the sodomite assault on society, just check this out.

Take down the fascist, anti christian Homosexual Flag.

Why are there no protestants on the supreme court? The lack of protestants is so glaring even the supreme court notices and also states "in its hubris, Friday’s majority decision had perpetrated a more serious offense than the one that ignited the American Revolution."

Episcopalians turn their backs on God and chose instead to worship the world

Leading The Way

Yesterday when talking about the SCOTUS Homosexual decision I said
This may be God's way of cleansing the Bride of Christ, separating the wheat from the tares. What this is, is a call to be better than we were, a call to show the world love and forgiveness, a chance to help the lost to dig their way out of the holes they dug through their selfishness and sinfulness.
I wasn't quite sure where I was going with that although I know we are commissioned to spread the gospel and it looks like society has sank beyond what most of us thought was possible. With church after church sinking into apostasy playing to an audience that doesn't care about the word of God and shows it by accepting homosexual 'marriage' and other worldly pursuits, it appears that churches that worship the Lord biblically are becoming the minority.

When the Marines found themselves surrounded by Chinese troops near the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War, Marine Corps general Chesty Puller summed it up for his men. “Good. Now we can shoot in all directions.” We Christians, we band of brothers and sisters, are also surrounded and the noose is tightening. Good. Now we can spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in all directions. Not only have we the always expanding mission field of atheists, agnostics, and pagans, we have poor souls that have deluded themselves into believing they were Christian yet have fallen into heretical false teaching and churches that make a mockery of God's word.
23 But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. 24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. (2 Timothy 2:23-26)
So many people are enraptured by the siren song of Satan that they have become mired in his plan of damnation. We are called to lead them out of their traps with kindness, patience, and gentle correction. If God deems it so, they will repent and join us in service to God. If they want to remain in the arms of sin, well, we tried. God called us to spread the gospel, He didn't say it was going to be easy and He didn't set quotas.

Six Things To Do In The Days Ahead

Since the Supreme Courts recent ruling on Homosexual "Marriage" the Christian blogosphere has been in an uproar and pretty much everyone I know is choosing up sides. The reactions range from "Whoo hoo!" to "The End Is Nigh". Now that the militant intollerant left has taken the SCOTUS decision as personal direction to attack the bride of Christ the "end is nigh" is probably the wisest reaction.

Personally I lean toward the "The End Is Nigh" side of things only because unlike a lot of people I know in this world, I've actually read the bible. Several times. And I believe it is the word of God, and I'm still reading it. Those of us that read it know that this nightmare scenario has been prophesied over two millenia ago.

Ok, so the end is nigh, what do we do in the meantime? Harvest Ministries Greg Laurie has offered some great advice to we Christians, we Band of Brothers and Sisters, as the end grows nigher (is nigher a word?)
“The Supreme Court can do many things, but the Supreme Court can't put Jesus back in that tomb. Jesus of Nazareth is still alive; He is still calling the universe toward His kingdom." -Russell Moore, president of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission
One -  "don't panic; God is still on the throne... the church thrives when it is in sharp contrast to the culture around it." The first century Christians also lived in a pagan culture where immorality was rampant. It wasn't a godless civilization, hardly. Like today there were dozens, scores, hundreds of gods that were being worshiped.

These early Christians thrived and "they turned the world upside down" and they didn't do it through protests, marches, parades, they did it by out-loving, out-praying, and out giving the pagans and non-believers.
