Banned, banished, bounced, cast out, chased away, dismissed, drummed out, dejected, ejected, expelled, extruded, ousted, routed, run off, thrown out... by a fellow veteran.

You may ask Doug, what did you do to get thrown out of a bible study? You! A Christian Blogger for nearly a decade, a deacon for seven years, the chairman of the board of a Congregational church, a member and student of Bible Study Fellowship for years, you who studied the Book of Genesis under a Rabbi, who fell so in love with John that you've read and studied that book constantly for a year, who tried to lead hymns in church while suffering from Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, what did you do?

Matthew, a fellow retired USAF weapons guy at the local American Legion post, was talking about all the work he was doing and the help he needed, in particular he needed help taking care of Mark, a paraplegic Vietnam vet. I volunteered to help Matthew and took joy in helping Mark. Having helped my quadriplegic sister-in-law in the past, Mark wasn't a problem, he was much lighter and more open about his physical issues than Ruth. He called me once at 1:00 AM for help and I gladly went over to his house to help change his unders and his bedding. Accidents happen. 

Matthew held a small bible study at Mark's house on Sundays, Matthew is the chaplain for a service related organization in the NoFlo area and is very open about his faith and how he was saved from his personal addictions. I attended but when I asked what version he was using and he looked at me strangely. Finally he said that he had to use the KJV. My reply was "That's nice, but the KJV is riddled with errors and written in a 400 year old language by non-Christians." 

His response was "Strong's Concordance was written for the KJV, no other version had as many words linked to Strong's." I then mention that I had recently obtained the MacArthur NIV Study Bible and Matthew warned me that it was wrong to study another person's opinions, which I decided to be a silly opinion. When you are expounding on the bible, unless you quote the bible 100% accurately with every word you utter, you are probably injecting your understanding of the word, which Matthew would condemn as your "opinion".

About a year ago I gave up.  The only thing I could write about is the church, which is supposed to be the physical image of God on this earth, literally going straight to hell lead by their perfectly  coiffed grinning, greedy "pastors". These "pastors" have read the bible enough to sound like they know what they're talking about when they intentionally falsify God's word in order to line their pockets with cash, but it is more important (to them) to get you to worship THEM rather than God. Give it a try! Write about the lies and nonsense that Steven Furtick pours out upon the bio-mass that fills his goat barn every Sunday and see what attacks you get from people that have no clue about what God really said. And YES I SAID IT, I said bio-mass, they're not people, a PERSON would have picked up a bible and doublechecked what Furtick spewed out. A PERSON would have walked out when Furtick committed narcissgesis and injected himself into the bible. Instead they attack whomever points out Furtick's pastoral crimes like good little acolytes. Thanks to Steven Furtick they're now just bio-mass getting ready to fuel the furnaces of hell.

I should have been writing about God's word, I should have been explaining to those that were seeking Him and what He said, but instead I end up motivated trying to untangle the LIES and Deceitfulness of self appointed "pastors" who twist God's word to aggrandize themselves. To these psudo-preachers it's 1. all about worshiping the psudo-preacher, 2. writing checks to the psudo-preacher, and 3. hating the neighbor who isn't part of your cult. 

Take Golden Goat winner from 2015, Mark Sandlin. Uberleftist Mark Sandlin is probably still celebrating January 20th with masturbatory glee because it's all about the politics, not about GOD. Mark even re-wrote Matthew 25:31-33 putting the sheep to God's left because MARK SANDLIN is on the left, so GOD obviously made a mistake, and he took away Jesus' deity because EVERYONE made a mistake elevating Jesus to godhood without Mark Sandlin's permission.

In winter the expected output of a wind turbine is 0

    Nothing, shows the failure of the "Green New Deal" and the clueless prattling about "renewable energy" than the energy disaster in Texas which just occurred. To begin with, solar power and wind power are NOT renewable energy. Once that photon has struck the solar panel, it's gone. It will never come back. Once a gust of wind has nudged a wind turbine's blade, it's gone. You will never see that gust of wind again. There is nothing you can do to get that photon or gust back. You cannot renew them, you can not make more wind, you cannot create more sunbeams. You can hope for more, but I've lived in Texas, in summer weeks can go by without a puff of wind, so much for the 12th century technology of wind power. In a Texas winter the clouds can blanket the state without a drop of rain, a flake of snow, or a respite from the gloom. An actual renewable form of energy is wood. You can (and we do)  plant more trees, then cut them down, dry them out, and bake them into charcoal. But solar and wind are (except for the clouds and windless day) best described as "sustainable abet unpredictable" energy.

     Now, you can scream that the "Green New Deal is not in effect because it hasn't been voted on!" until you're green in the face, to which I say "Be quiet, adults are talking." Ever since Alexandria Occasional Ocasio Cortez put forth her lunatic fantasy (I really can't wait to take an electric train to Hawaii) the political and theological left has been driven by the breathless idea that you can power the industrial might of the world with children's smiles and unicorn farts. No, it hasn't been voted on in the house or the senate, but it has been accepted as the unofficial law of the land by every man, woman, and any combination of those two options on the political left. The truth is, if you want to avoid burning everything you own to keep from freezing next winter, you had better pray for Global Warming on a massive scale.

     Nothing is more deadly to mankind than cold. A study published in the British journal The Lancet analyzed data on more than 74 million deaths in 13 countries between 1985 and 2012. Of those, 5.4 million deaths were related to cold, while 311,000 were related to heat. The left will tell you that heat may kill crops, but they will ignore the fact that cold prevents crops from even being planted. They might say that we are all going to burn up from global warming, they might hysterically shriek that oceans are going to rise by feet and wipe out entire cities, to which I say "I warned you once before, adults are talking."

I first "met" Rush Limbaugh in 1988. I was in Minot ND driving on "South Hill" and I turned on KRRZ 1390 AM to hear some old time rock n' roll. Instead I heard a man speaking loudly, complaining about the latest idiocy that came out of Washington DC. I don't remember the subject of his rant, but I do remember thinking that this guy was "just another loudmouth out of New York City", and I turned to a different station. It wasn't Rush's first show after being syndicated, but it was close to the first.

Something he said sat with me, so the next day I turned the radio on and there he was again. He mentioned "The Limbaugh Challenge" which was to listen to his show for two weeks before coming to judgement. 

This time I listened, and as he spoke I learned. I learned that it was ok to feel the way I feel, it was ok to disagree with the leftist intelligencia, it was ok to analyze issues with my conservative values, it was ok to voice my concerns using my my God given intelligence, and it was ok to address my detractors when done with truth and love. 

Love for a detractor? Yes, love for America, and love for another child of God. Many folks don't realize it, but "El Rushbo" was a devout Christian. He rarely hinted about it on his show because his show was political, not theological. He didn't want to be a Christian apologist, he was something even rarer: a USA apologist.

I was on active duty in the United States Air Force, serving in the Strategic Air Command when Rush hit the airwaves and I have no idea how big of a hit he was in the civilian world, but in the enlisted ranks he was a gift from God. Finally! Here was a civilian who thought as we did, a man who got it: laws are laws for a reason, rules are to be followed, ignorant, cruel, selfish ungodly politicians are not to be followed, regardless of the party.
