About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

The Faith of our Candidates

When Barack Hussein Obama was elected there was a great dispute over what his religion is. He was born of a Muslim man so by Muslim law he's a Muslim. He claimed to be a Christian but sat in an anti-American church that denies God the Father, and by his own words and actions he's proven to be a Narcissist Atheist.

For me a candidate's faith is a very important part of my decision to vote for him or her. While my primary concern is candidate's position on the issues, his or her faith or lack of faith goes to the candidate's psyche. A Narcissist Atheist for example has no concept of being answerable to a higher power because in their mind they are the higher power. This is incredibly important because as president of the United States the most powerful man in the world has a political higher power to show allegiance to: the Constitution of the United States.
3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. (1 Timothy 6:3-5)
Let's look at the field of candidates, first the Republicans:

Donald Trump is a Presbyterian and he collects bibles. By his own admission he's an "Easter Bunny" attending service only on Easter and Christmas.

Dr. Ben Carson is a twice-baptized Seventh-day Adventist. He has served as an Adventist local elder and Sabbath school teacher and says he attends other denominations on occasion.

Carly Fiorina is an Episcopalian. She turns to Jesus in difficult times, such as her treatment for breast cancer and the death of her daughter, who dealt with drug addiction.

Ted Cruz was baptized Catholic "and yet somehow I ended up Southern Baptist" Forget “dog whistle” politics with coded messages to religious voters. Cruz has a trumpet

Jeb Bush was raised a Presbyterian but in 1995 converted to Roman Catholicism. “I loved the absolute nature of the Catholic Church. It resonated with me.”

Gov. Chris Christie is a Roman Catholic. "...I’m a Catholic and I believe in my church." While believing in his church, Governor Christie doesn't believe in their ban on birth control.

James Gilmore III is a lifelong United Methodist. He blasted the Obama's 2015 prayer breakfast speech where Obama cited the Crusades, the Inquisition, slavery and Jim Crow as “terrible deeds in the name of Christ.” James Gilmore said this statement was “the most offensive I’ve ever heard a president make in my lifetime"

Lindsey Graham is a Southern Baptist who has said “Everything I know about politics, I learned in the pool room,” He's a 30 year USAF veteran which I think means I have to vote for him (I'm going to have to check with the VA on that)

Mike Huckabee was a Southern Baptist minister before entering the politics and running for president in 2008.  "We are living in perilous times where people who are Christian are on the brink of being criminalized for their convictions,"

Gov. Bobby Jindal was raised a Hindu attending weekly pujas and reading the Vedic scriptures. By the time he was in college he converted to Roman Catholicism.  “The single most important time in my life is the moment that I found Jesus Christ,”

Gov. John Kasich was raised a Roman Catholic but now is a member of a conservative Anglican Church. "I like baseball, I swear a lot, I like Pearl Jam — and I have a personal relationship with God. But I think He likes Pearl Jam, too."

George Pataki  is Roman Catholic but has frequently taken stances that conflict with Catholic teaching. He opposed the Indiana Religious Freedom Law and  he is staunchly Pro Choice,

Rand Paul  was baptized an Episcopalian but now attends a Presbyterian church.  “My faith has never been easy for me, never been easy to talk about and never been without obstacles. I do not and cannot wear my religion on my sleeve. I am a Christian but not always a good one"

Rick Perry was a longtime member of United Methodist Churches in Texas, but now attends an Evangelical non-denominational church. He was a C-130 pilot in the USAF, which is the second coolest aircraft in the Air Force inventory. And yes, that is a reason to vote for him (believe me, it is)

Marco Rubio was baptized a Roman Catholic, then at the age of 8 he was baptized a Mormon, then eventually migrated to Southern Baptist, but is now back to Roman Catholicism. He angers Narcissists Atheists, so that's a good thing.

Rick Santorum is a devout Roman Catholic. He proudly calls himself a "culture warrior" and "true Christian conservative." In so positioning himself, he has garnered popularity among evangelicals, but among Catholics not so much. And among Narcissists Atheists he's hated with a vengeance

Gov. Scott Walker is the son of a Baptist preacher and was a deacon at Underwood Memorial Baptist Church in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, until 2005. He decided to leave Underwood because it had moved in a more liberal direction. Good man!

And now the Other Side

Lincoln Chaffee is an Episcopalian. He supports homosexual psudo-marriage, abortion on demand, embryonic stem-cell research, and he opposes the death penalty. He changed Rhode Island's Day of Prayer (May 1) to "Day of Reason"

Hillary Clinton is a Methodist. When Clinton turned her back on biblical marriage she said "One of my big problems right now is that too many people believe they have a direct line to the divine and they never want to change their mind about anything,"

Martin O'Malley is a Roman Catholic. Martin O'Malley O’Malley is for unfettered abortion on demand and embryonic stem cell research. His website boasts he led the push to legalize same-sex psudo-marriage in Maryland.

Jim Webb is most likely a Narcissist Atheist, he apparently doesn't have the guts to say.

Bernie Sanders was born Jewish but is now a Narcissist Atheist

  1. So which is the coolest aircraft in the USAF inventory? F-22A?

I'm a very big fan of the C-130 -- one of my all time favorites. I have 30 parachute jumps out of them, on top of several flights where I stayed behind as safety NCO. I love the sound of them, and their performance and capabilities, etc.

    1. As a 462X0 I could have rode the AC-130 but those slots were always taken and didn't open up until my retirement. No, the coolest aircraft in the inventory is the B-52H. That old girl dominated three quarters of my career, always evolving, always returning home safely. I fought Desert Storm from North Dakota - how cool is that?

    2. Yes - B-52 Very Cool!!!

Fortunately I never got involved in any war during my period (although at the time I was a bit miffed not to be sent to Vietnam, but then I grew up and realized I was protected from that for whatever reason). Lots of war-games, yes. Real war, no.

Although in 1973 we were on full alert for a week, all equipment drawn, parachutes in the trucks in the company streets, locked into company area, C-141s on the ramp at the airbase, all waiting to help Israel during the Yom Kippur War. But they ended not needing us.
