About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

Selling Evil To You And Your Children

Imagine a fellow comes to your house, you know him, in fact he teaches your young children. He tells them stories and gives them lessons on everything from math to sharing with each other. You even listen to those stories and enjoy them and remember years past when he came to your house when you were young and told similar stories. On occasion you went to his house as a child, so now you take your kids there and have a wonderful time. Now imagine how you would feel if you suddenly realized he was poisoning you and your children. Slowly, insidiously, bit by bit filling you with delicious tasting poison until you and your children are terminally ill. Well then, if this chain of thought enrages you, welcome to the Wonderful World of Disney.

Many years ago Disney put out the movie Sleeping Beauty based on the stories La Belle au bois dormant by Charles Perrault and Little Brian Rose by the Brothers Grimm. Everyone is familiar with the 1959 classic - King Stefan and Queen Leah after many years of trying finally give birth to a baby, Princess Aurora. They throw a nation wide holiday and invite everyone to attend the christening where she is betrothed to Prince Phillip, son of King Stefan's friend King Hubert so that their kingdoms will be united. The evil fairy Maleficent (her name is an adjective for an evil person) is not welcome at the christening so in rage she curses Aurora to die on her 16th birthday. A good fairy is able to alter the curse and Aurora will only fall asleep, but remain asleep until woken by true love's kiss. Through the meddling of Maleficent Aurora does fall asleep but brave Prince Phillip slays Maleficent, kisses Aurora, they marry, the kingdoms are united, everyone lives happily ever after.

That was 1959, 'way back when children of all ages were taught the difference between good and evil. It is now 2014 and evil walks the land. Disney has released on DVD a soul rotting exercise in demonic symbolism and paean to Satan thinly disguised as a reboot of Sleeping Beauty, and they named it Maleficent
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
Disney seems to have changed from an entertainment company to a damnation company. Look at what has happened to their child stars: Brenda Song, Demi Lovato, Adrienne Bailon, Anneliese Van der Pol, Lalaine Vergara-Paras, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera,.. it's incredible the number of young lives that have been wrecked, but how many more are being wrecked second hand as these 'stars' lead adoring fans by example to drugs, crime, and debauchery.

Maleficent is much more than a retelling of a well loved story, it's a complete inversion of the story. Imagine if Satan had a chance to re-write the bible. Good becomes bad, light becomes dark, up becomes down, God becomes the bad guy, Jesus becomes an impotent dork, and only Satan can save mankind.

Maleficent is an evil fairy, she always has been by intention. She's been the foul enemy in numerous Disney films, TV shows and video games. She is a personification of Satan. She is never portrayed as anything but the most wicked person in the world, the self proclaimed "Mistress of All Evil" Her devilish horns are intended to look like Baphomet, and her evil minion was Diablo (spanish for devil). This is the message and the symbolism of Sleeping Beauty: Maleficent is Satan - dark and evil, King Stephan is the loving father/lord, Aurora is the anyperson loved and prized by King Stefan and hated by Maleficent because King Stefan loves her so much, and Prince Phillip is the savior of Aurora who loves her as much as King Stefan loves her.

Now Disney turns everything around: King Stefan is no longer hereditary king, he's a peasant planning to assume the crown by any means, and Maleficent is his 'girlfriend'. Maleficent defeats the old king in a battle and the king offers his throne to whomever defeats her. Stefan drugs Maleficent, attempts to kill her, and instead cuts her wings off, a scene that has been interpreted by many reviews as metaphoric rape. Stefan then uses those wings as proof that he killed  Maleficent in order to gain the throne.

Maleficent and her evil minion Daival (just a creative spelling of Devil) spy on King Stefan, and just as in Sleeping Beauty Maleficent crashes the christening of Princess Aurora, places a death curse on the infant , the curse gets modified but Aurora still pricks her finger on a spinning wheel and falls asleep.

Now the story starts to twist more and more. King Stefan's castle, once beautiful but sad because Aurora couldn't live there (in Sleeping Beauty) is now dark and filled with traps and spikes. Where the Sleeping Beauty King Stefan was worried about Aurora, this King Stefan is worried about himself and has Aurora locked up when he meets her. After Aurora falls asleep rather than storming the castle and battling Maleficent and rescuing Princess Aurora, Prince Phillip is dragged to the castle by Maleficent (who had a change of heart) but his kiss is ineffectual and he just kind of wanders off stupidly. It's Maleficent who kisses Aurora and revives her. In the battle scene where once upon a time the Savior Prince Phillip fought and slew Maleficent and saved Aurora, it's now King Stefan battling Maleficent who now has her wings back (thanks to Aurora) and she slays King Stefan. Princess Aurora eventually marries Prince Philip, and Aurora intones “My kingdom was united by one who was both hero and villain.”

So there you have it, the good King and lord becomes a power hungry madman bent on murder, his beautiful castle is a deathtrap, the savior is an impotent stuffed shirt, the anyperson owes her very existence to the personification of evil, and the personification of evil is really a Nice Person. The whole thing made me sick.

We've all heard of God's Plan of Salvation, this movie is Satan's Plan of Damnation put up on the big screen for everyone to see. It expresses exactly what Satan wants us to believe - sure he did a bad thing or two in the past, but GOD's really the bad one. Speak to any evangelical Atheist. You know the type, the ones that are nearly foaming at the mouth in rage when ever Jesus' name is mentioned (oddly pagan deities like Buddha, Vishnu, Odin, or Allah don't seem to bother them), they are convinced that the God they don't believe in is the root of all evil. (They honestly do!)

The lie that Satan is the savior of mankind and that God is evil is the hallmark of New Age occultism and Gnosticism. Aleister Crowley, the most evil man in the world, and Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, the archetect for modern occultism and satan worship put it this way:
“This serpent, Satan is not the enemy of man, but he who made gods of our race, knowing good and evil; he bade ‘know thyself!’ and taught initiation.  He is ‘the Devil’ of the Book of Thoth, and his emblem is Baphomet…” (Aleister Crowley, Magick: In Theory and Practice, 1973, p. 296)
"And now it stands proven that Satan, or the Red Fiery Dragon…  Lucifer, or "Light-Bearer," is in us: it is our Mind—our tempter and Redeemer, our intelligent liberator and Saviour from pure animalism.” ... “[O]ne of the most hidden secrets…involves the so called fall of Angels. Satan and his rebellious host...will thus prove to have...become the direct Saviors and Creators of divine man…Thus Satan, once he ceases to be viewed in the superstitious spirit of the church, grows into the grandiose image…It is Satan who is the God of our planet and the only God. [The last line sits on a page headed 'Holy Satan.'] Satan [or Lucifer] represents…the Centrifugal Energy of the Universe…this ever-living symbol of self-sacrifice for the intellectual independence of humanity.” (Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, Volume 2, Theosophical University Press, 1988)
In the end Maleficent is ruling over the human world personified by Aurora and her airhead husband Phillip, and the spiritual realm which are now both united. Where Sleeping Beauty is a metaphor for the bible, Maleficent is the bible twisted and corrupted until it comes out the way Satan wants it to come out. Not only is the story shattered, the roles of men and women are destroyed too. The loving father Stefan is now the hateful power hungry rapist. The kings men are little more than slaves cowering to the madman on the throne. The strong and brave Prince Phillip is now stupid and weak, and Maleficent's minion Diavel is even a failure at comedy relief.

The women's roles have changed too, the three good fairies who protected Sleeping Beauty are the weak willed and stupid pawns of the evil King Stefan. Aurora who once had faith in her savior, walks away from him in Maleficent and rescues Maleficent, and Maleficent herself leaves no doubt in anyone's mind at the end of the movie that SHE is the one running the united kingdoms.

This movie is merely a veiled depiction of Satan's plan of damnation, of how he expects the world to bow to him as they worship the Antichrist (Revelation 13:4) but Satan is going to lose (Revelation 17:14, Revelation 19:11-21). Jesus calls Satan the Father of Lies (John 8:44) and Satans tactics from the very start have been to fool the weak of faith into believing that he is their savior and benefactor (Genesis 3:1-6). The odd thing about this movie is that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, 2 Corinthians 11:13-14, but in the movie they never change Maleficent's appearance. It's like the entire Disney studio is laughing "Look! She's evil! And you're falling for the lies!"

But we have a true savior, one who loves us and has shown us he is willing to die for us, one perfect being whose love we can barely comprehend yet barely deserve.
15 It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. 16 Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:15-17)
