About

Per Fidem Intrepidus means "Fearless Through Faith". My courage isn't my own, it comes from the Holy Spirit, it's my faith in God and my personal savior Christ Jesus that calms my fears and allows me to move forward in this fallen world. Personally I'm afraid of a lot of stuff, but having the faith that Jesus adopted me as his little, sin filled, brother keeps me going.

Secular Icon Too Religious for San Diego

The Easter bunny, a secular creation designed to minimize, humiliate, and secularize Christianity's most important holiday, has been deemed by San Diego as too religious a symbol to be inflicted upon the sensibilities of the devout evangelical atheists of San Diego County. The Easter Bunny is now referred to as the Spring Bunny, and Easter Eggs are now referred to as Spring Eggs, or just eggs by the San Diego Country parks department.

Think about it: a secular idol is considered too religious for atheists and has to be further secularized.

Sign of the times,” said Michael Workman, county communications director. “It’s the prudent course of action. Our goal has always been to include all in the communities we serve.” In other words, the predicted falling away is in freefall and many are going to find that their ripcords have been cut.
1 But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, 3 men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. (Timothy 4:1-3)
Paul repeated to Timothy the warning he had given years earlier to the Ephesian elders (Acts 20:29-30). The Holy Spirit through the Scriptures has repeatedly warned of the danger of apostasy  (Matthew 24:4-12; Acts 20:29-30; 2 Thessalonians 2:3-12; Hebrews 3:12; Hebrews 10:26-31; 2 Peter 3:3; 1 John 2:18; Jude 18) in later times. Apostasy will exist throughout the period between from the first coming of Christ until his return and it will reach a climax shortly before Christ returns

And now the very word "Easter" is seen as too religious for modern sensibilities? Dark days are indeed ahead of us, but the glorious return of our Lord and master is following swiftly.

I point this out not in outrage but as an observer of our falling, failing world and the twists and gyrations evangelical atheism is going through to block the Gospel from reaching your ears even if it means damning their own idols. If you are outraged that the Easter Bunny is now the Spring Bunny and if you think it's wrong pay attention to what Breitbart's Sonnie Johnson points out - it has nothing to do with the bunny, it has nothing to do with the eggs, it's about the Resurrection and if you can't teach your children that, don't expect the bunny to teach your child that. See the discussion on this here:
Breitbart's Sonnie Johnson Discusses Easter Bunnies
It's an interesting discussion but they miss the fact that while the Government is being stopped from espousing Christian holidays and values, that same Government is forcing the religion of atheism down our throats.
